NLRB Nominees Deserve Up-Or-Down-Vote without Delay, says Rep. Miller
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.), the senior Democratic member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, issued the following statement after the conclusion of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee confirmation hearing on President Obama’s nominees to the National Labor Relations Board.
“Today’s Senate confirmation hearing shows that President Obama has nominated qualified individuals to serve on the National Labor Relations Board. What’s also clear from today’s hearing is that too many in Washington have been more interested in scoring partisan points than in ensuring a fully functioning government for the American people. It’s now time for some responsible behavior. The obstruction must stop. I urge the Senate to allow these qualified nominees an up-or-down vote without delay.”
