Miller: Employment Report Shows Need to Pass American Jobs Act Now

WASHINGTON – Rep. George Miller (D-CA), the senior Democrat on the House Education and the Workforce Committee, issued the following statement on today’s jobs report.

“Today’s jobs report makes it clear once again that we must do more to create jobs now. Congress should pass the American Jobs Act now. This plan answers Americans' most pressing need – jobs. There is no other comprehensive plan before Congress that will both create jobs now and lay the foundation for future economic growth that will help our nation’s small businesses survive and grow. Those who oppose action on jobs are standing in the way of millions of Americans who want to work and build a better future for their families."
