Chairman Scott Statement on Next Steps for Build Back Better Agenda

WASHINGTON – Chairman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (VA-03) released the following statement regarding the next steps for the Build Back Better Agenda.  

“The Build Back Better Act advanced by House Democrats secures vital investments in America’s future. Every piece of our proposal addresses an urgent challenge facing families and communities across the country and it is fully paid for by making the wealthiest pay their fair share in taxes. While I am extremely disappointed that this bill has been stalled in the Senate, I will not stop working to lower costs for families and create good-paying jobs for our nation’s workers. Our constituents sent us to Congress to get things done. In the days and weeks ahead, we must find a path forward to deliver for the American people.”
